The Best Friends of Fascism: Larpers and Edgelords
by Judas
Over time, a significant issue with "Modern Fascism" has emerged, namely the misunderstanding that the rehabilitation of Fascism will occur by demonstrating personal success and self-improvement. This approach aims to challenge the prevailing narrative that Fascism is synonymous with mindless violence, racism, and provocative extremism. However, it has become evident that those who fail to comprehend this nuanced approach end up becoming the faces of Fascism in the media, inadvertently reinforcing the preconceived notions associated with it. These individuals are often portrayed as brainless agitators seeking violence and advocating for genocide. This situation can be attributed to the infiltration of edgelords and larpers.
These individuals have appropriated the Fascist banner, claiming to understand its nature, goals, and development. However, their actions reveal a blatant disregard for the doctrines they purportedly support, as they harbor their own hidden agendas. This can be observed among various groups such as White Nationalists, Traditional Catholics, Homosexuals, Occultists, or even libertarian Right Wingers who mistakenly believe that Fascism will somehow align with their libertarian ideals after years of dictatorship. While these individuals differ greatly from one another, they all share a common root cause: ignorance, deliberate negligence, or subversion orchestrated by secretive and influential groups.
It is the responsibility of reasonable Fascists to distinguish themselves from these groups and expose those who pretend to be something they are not. The individuals in question twist the interpretation of Fascism to suit their reactionary agendas and assert ownership over marginalized communities, such as low IQ individuals, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, and Jews. Ironically, they believe that old-school proto-Fascists or true Fascists would support their distorted views.
Among the most concerning elements are those who advocate for terrorism. However, upon closer examination, their motivations are not rooted in Fascism itself. Instead, they represent dysfunctional individuals seeking an outlet to express their anger towards society. Unfortunately, this also provides an ideal opportunity for the mainstream media and the government to smear Fascism as a violent ideology, further suppressing political dissidents. Notable examples include those who adhere to O9A/Siege ideologies, which have already been linked to the American FBI. These ideas and motives directly contradict the arguments put forth by our predecessors.
There are individuals who falsely assert that race is the central component of Fascism. However, if we examine the history, we find that the main philosophers and figures responsible for the development of Fascism actually opposed the Racial Laws implemented in 1938. While Fascism can incorporate elements of race, it is not always the defining aspect, rendering these claims baseless. Similarly, the claims made by Fascists who reject the significance of race as an absolute truth are also unfounded. The reality is that Fascism adapts to the specific needs of a nation, which is relative and context-dependent.
Furthermore, it is absurd to argue that Fascism must strictly adhere to traditionalism. This notion can be easily refuted by acknowledging the presence of Futurism within the movement and the diverse approaches to traditions exhibited by different branches of Fascism. The extent to which traditionalism is emphasized varies based on the specific time and place in which it is manifested.
The stereotype of "Fascist Violence" is indeed laughable, as is the notion that Fascism is solely about mindless action without any coherent ideology. In reality, historical proponents of Fascism believed in a moral framework that emphasized the integration of thought and action. It is futile to be weak, just as it is misguided to be solely focused on physical strength. The true power lies in being intellectually strong and capable.
Another laughable attempt is the appropriation of Fascism by the right-wing and the portrayal of it as a pro-capitalist ideology. None of the Fascist movements that have emerged worldwide have identified themselves as pro-capitalist, and in fact, they have all originated from an anti-capitalist perspective. It is a misrepresentation to associate Fascism exclusively with capitalist ideals.
It is important to recognize that within Fascism, there are various possibilities and interpretations that differ significantly. However, a reality of current "Fascism" is that many individuals adopt it as an excuse to be needlessly edgy and reactionary. They mistakenly believe that simply being authoritarian entitles them to label themselves as Fascists. These individuals do not genuinely stand for Fascism, nor do they truly care about its principles. Their intentions are double-sided, as they would support the status quo as long as it aligns with their personal agenda. In their minds, Fascism is merely a means to an end.
It is recommended to reference the works of scholars such as A. James Gregor or Zeev Sternhell to gain a better understanding of Fascism and the actual goals and actions of the movements that claimed to represent it. This would help dispel misconceptions and provide a more accurate portrayal.
Another issue worth mentioning is the presence of online homosexual/transsexual individuals who identify as "Fascists" on platforms like Twitter. These individuals often promote the idea of "HomoFascism" a smear, as good but it was never accepted by any Fascist movement that attained power. If it was ever embraced, it was only temporary, and those adhering to it would be purged. Moreover, it is important to note that the views of these individuals do not represent the broader population, as most regular people do not support the LGBT agenda. The attraction to Fascism for these individuals is primarily aesthetic, serving as a sexual fantasy of power and control.
This distorted perception of Fascism is far from its true essence and represents a perversion of its higher ideas. It is evident that these individuals do not genuinely understand Fascism and have ulterior motives for associating themselves with it. In order to address this situation, subversive individuals must be isolated from Fascism or encouraged to disassociate themselves. This particularly applies to those who engage in online trolling behavior, as their actions undermine the genuine principles and ideals of Fascism.
